Fashion-Focused Startup Polyvore, 17M Monthly Uniques Strong, Opens Up NYC Office

It begins to look like everyone had their beginnings in Silicon Valley is the anchor in New York. Earlier this year, Facebook set up engineering office in Manhattan, then this week Alexia Tsotsi her move in the Big Apple (I miss you!) A person who lives in one place? The latest techie heads east to Polyvore, the site that people can make collages of clothing and accessories using images from the online store. Polyvore today announced the opening of the first offices in New York's SoHo. NYC office has a staff of eight to start, while Polyvore is 40 and the other employees and executive team led by Jess Lee, CEO, will remain headquartered in Mountain View, California. NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced a personal welcome to Polvyore, which is pretty cool: "By opening an office here, Polyvore is a growing group of technology companies realize the benefits of those in New York was irresistible, no matter where he started to run." Polyvore is a setting in Manhattan makes a ton of sense because as hard as the San Francisco Bay Area, you can try NYC's fashion headquarters in the United States that I know (and probably the world.) That Lee and one of its co-founder Pasha Sadri found themselves spending more time in New York as Polyvore is growing, so now they will be somewhere to hang their hats when in town. In a statement, Sadr said: "We have a long way from Polyvore there were five people in my living room came Polyvore always at the intersection of technology and style, as well as near the power of fashion in New York. A natural next step." And speaking of Polyvore growth, the company also announced today that 17 million unique visitors per month hit. This is a nice bump from the last time we checked with the company in May, when there are 15 million unique. Here's a video interview since then, that Lee and Sadri discusses how the adoption of "Pinterest effect" helped grow the business
