Wearable Art wow backdrop of American yachting


        WearableArt Six World clothes opened Louis Vuitton event in San Francisco in conjunction with the America's Cup at the personal invitation of the famous fashion house.

The dresses were presented over the weekend in a private show for 700 invitation-only guests, including Louis Vuitton employees worldwide and international media, newspapers and magazines such as Vogue, Tatler, Elle.

Louis Vuitton contacted WOW earlier this year asked a series of clothing will be sent to San Francisco for the respective performance of each garment is "suitable" for the four teams sailing for the America's Cup.

The founder of the World of WearableArt Awards, Dame Suzie Moncrieff, welcomed the invitation to see it as a reward for the class of drawings and works of designers to produce New Zealand and around the world.

"We have modeled a 30-minute private show for Louis Vuitton on an island [Hauraki] Gulf of Auckland in 2003 with about 100 different elements," she said.

"For they were so moved and inspired and invite us to the show in San Francisco is the fabulous recognition for our designers and all that is WOW."

The international project manager for WOW, Ali Boswijk, went with the management and the WOW models put the clothes on the stage Alive to San Francisco. "This was a great project," said Ms. Boswijk, speaking of San Francisco shortly before the event on Saturday night (NZ time).

Supreme WOW prices last year show winner, Delight light, Donghua University students Yuru My Mengyue Shanghai and Wu, presented the Swedish team, as layers of transparent material makes it appear like an ice sculpture.

Purple Cake Day charity organization 200 offers discount tickets for World WearableArt preview show in Wellington. The two-hour show will take place on 25 September.
